Background:I was born and raised in South Carolina, but my family is originally from Egypt. I did my B.S. in Public Health at Clemson University and upon graduation, I taught anatomy lab at Clemson before coming to medical school. I’ve always loved connecting with people and hearing their stories, and it’s one of the big reasons I decided to become a physician. I believe that people’s mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual wellbeing is incredibly interconnected and interdependent, and I aspire to become the type of physician who is able to promote full body wellness for my patients so they can live their healthiest lifestyle. Career-wise, I hope to work at the intersection of clinical medicine, public health, and public policy with a specific focus on promoting wellness in BIPOC communities. I’m always happy to listen & had my fair share of struggles in medical school, so it will always be an open, non-judgemental zone when we chat. Feel free to reach out with anything!

A Bit About Me

When I’m not doing school work, I love exploring Chicago and seeing everything the city has to offer. I strongly believe Chicago is one of the best cities in America & could probably have an extended conversation with anyone about why I think so. I love shopping, being at the lake, trying new restaurants, and continuing my mission to find the best matcha latte in Chicago. A random fun fact about me is that my friend and I once snuck on to a movie set during filming and pretended to be extras (our take never made it into the movie unfortunately).
