Background:

I grew up in the greater Boston area and attended University of Massachusetts Amherst for my undergraduate education. As a college student, I worked as an EMT both on campus and in and around Boston. After college, I worked as a 911 EMT in the Boston area. I also worked as a Harm Reduction Technician at Boston Health Care for the Homeless, working to provide healthcare, case management, emergency medical services, and health education to unhoused people in the Boston area. I was motivated by my father’s experience with substance use and mental health disorders and his limited access to health and social services to become involved in medicine, as well as peer support services. These experiences have led to my passion for harm reduction and increasing healthcare accessibility. I also volunteered with and completed an internship as a listener with 7 Cups of Tea, which has enhanced my active listening skills and reinforced my passion for this work.

A Bit About Me

I live in Wicker Park in Chicago and love to explore the different stores and hangouts in nearby neighborhoods! I enjoy the electronic music scene, attending live music events, and traveling to music festivals when my schedule allows. When I can get outdoors, I enjoy kayaking and when I can get to a beach with big waves, I love bodyboarding. I am also always down for a bike ride! Indoors, I can be found playing with my cats, making bracelets for my friends, or listening to ASMR!
