Background:
My family immigrated from Lithuania when I was 9 years old and settled in Kenosha, Wisconsin. I am a first-generation, low-income college student and attended UW-Madison, where I double-majored in Neuroscience and Languages and Cultures of Asia and minored in Religious Studies. I chose to pursue humanities in addition to science in college because I believe that to be a great healer, you have to be knowledgeable not just in the disease process but in the person as a whole. After I graduated in 2014, I stayed at UW and worked as a research assistant for 4 years before matriculating into the MD/PhD program at Stritch. In March, I earned my PhD in Neuroscience and plan to pursue a clinical field that aligns with my research interests.

A Bit About Me

If I wasn’t pursuing medicine or research, I would open a bakery because I love to bake (and cook)! I also love exploring the outdoors, trying out new sports/activities, going to the movies, and playing board games. I have a fur baby named Koko and she brings joy into my life every day! I hope to share some of my joy with those who are struggling and provide a safe space for them to share their troubles. As someone who has been at Stritch 6 years already, I lived through and witnessed many ups and downs in my personal life and the lives of my peers. What that reinforced for me is that we are all going through this together and need to support one another. I truly believe that your success is my success.
